Nutritional Services at The Fitness Plaza
The Fitness Plaza is pleased to offer professional nutritional services to help our members coordinate their supermarket and eating out habits with their personal fitness programs. Hi! My name is Donna Wade and I am a nutritionist with a Master's Degree from Penn State University. As a new member of The Fitness Plaza team, my goal is to provide a highly practical approach to nutrition and weight management. My areas of specialty are personalized weight loss and healthy meal preparation. Specifically, I attempt to take the mystery out of weight loss by providing sound nutritional advice. Weight loss can be achieved most effectively by combining healthy eating habits with exercise.
Additionally, my approach emphasizes healthy cooking strategies that are possible even with a busy lifestyle. My experience teaching cooking classes and giving “Cart Smart” grocery shopping tours for the American Heart Association has reinforced my desire to make current dietary guidelines and recommendations applicable to everyday life. I enjoy finding and developing delicious and nutritious recipes that are easy to prepare and family-friendly. Having four children ranging in age from 11 to 21 gives me a realistic view of the challenges that parents face each day as they strive to establish and model healthy eating habits.
